About Sam Shupe

Sam Shupe is a Ph.D. student in the American & New England Studies Program at Boston University. He studies nineteenth and early twentieth century cultural and social history with a focus on how labor, leisure, and recreation interact with the built environment. He rides his bike every day, all year-round. Sam self-publishes a magazine of art, academic, and cultural criticism, Just Short of Jaundice.
